I think more than a captcha is needed to get rid of forum bots.
  • Limit first few posts (have the moderators accept them before able to post, which can take a while 😅)
  • Disable signatures, links, anything that can lead to another platform in first few posts.

After your account has reached like 5-10 good posts, your upgraded to regular member.

It's no use

The moment you tell them something about their modding, they tell you that we should've reported more, essentially blaming us while they are the ones responsable for keeping the forum in check 😅
Meantime I hear from all sides "server gala not being approved for weeks - changing thread titles needs several weeks."

I think most mods at this point are more title hungry than actually actively doing their, quite easy to do, job.
This forum has not been what it was in terms of what a person can actually achieve on this forum nowadays, luckily, there are other mediums if you are interested in OTS but it's sad to see it go like this

If the "bots" want, they can shut down this forum within 1 minute, overloading it with posts and bullshit.
 
I see the threads have been moderated. Anyways a good way could be the usage of ALTCHA since it is way easier to install and deploy.
