Outside connections refused, Why?

My sever is up and running but outside connections are being refused. I can connect to my own sever using 127.0.0.1 but when some one else trys connecting using my IP it wont work.

Can some one tell me why?

I got the program that said its open!

Got to char selection, then it says cant connect when i choose my god char.

I can still connect with 127.0.0.1 just not my external IP

Did you open port 7172 too?

7171 7171 tibia1
and
7172 7172 tibia2
and if u wanna site then
80-80 apache1

Ofcourse everyone sais to forward your ports wich is the very logical option.
what alot of people don't know is that you need to install a Windows XML parser.
You can download this on the official windows website.

Windows XML parser? I don't have it works fine.
I doubt that program or whatever it is has anything to do with port forwarding. ^.-

It doesnt have to do anything with port forwarding and I never said that for the record.
But a XML parser is needed to read the XML....
Well it worked for me, I'm only sharing what worked for me...

Check that you have any kind of firewall in your router that might be blocking connections

hey i have the same problem! i have downloaded the xml windows parser.. and also all my ports are opened and forwarded! still no one can login except me (the hoster)

Again, I would check any kind of fire wall be it windows, some program, or your router. Make sure you're using the ip from What Is My IP Address? - IP Address Lookup, Internet Speed Test, IP Info, plus more in your config.lua
