I have a server running, everything portforwarded and whatnot, and it still doesnt work. I've had this problem for a few years and now I finally figured it out, but not how to fix it. The problem is that my computer isn't the primary computer before the router kicks in, my brothers is. I need to find a way to switch the computers so mine is primary and his is after mine, so I can finally host a server. Anyone know how to?

There might be a ethernet cord going from his computer to a main port in the back of the router, then all of the others come from the other ones on the back. Try switching it around, if thats not it then its in the network configuration (control panel). Try googling it, I bet you'll be able to find something that will help
I've been googling it all day, sorry to say. I tried control panel but that led to 2 hours of my internet going down until I fixed it, which was quite annoying, so I want to be sure before tampering around.

if i understand good then you want to host server on your pc?
for that dos't matter primary pc or not if its on the network and you have accses to the router.
goto your router make ports 7171 utp 7171 tcp and 7272 utp 7272 tcp
check your local ip some time it changes.
windows button+R type there cmd and type there ipconfig and take your ip and open the port for that ip.

Hm, your brothers computer might be assigned as "DMZ HOST" or something like that. So his computer handles all connections and everything.
Delete his IP from DMZ, so the router handles all connections.
