What's the best dedicated server to run TFS 0.2.5 on Unix:

1x AMD Opteron 2344HE (Quad-Core)
4 GB DDR2-667 ECC Registered
2x 250 GB SATA II 7,200 rpm

1x Xeon DP E5405 (Quad-Core)
4 GB DDR2-667 ECC Registered
2x 250 GB SATA II 7,200 rpm

Unless you have like 500 players on constant, that would be a overkill.

Uptime has been 99.99% so far, the only time that was down was because I was updating the server lol...

Hmm... $25.99 / month for 2GB VPS v.s. $200 for 4GB... I think it's waste of money to buy that $200.

VPS is on a shared network. RAM doesnt mean much. On a vps your net connection varies as its shared with about 10 others.

Dedicated means its not shared. People use dedicated servers to host vps networks, mostly for websites.

Nah my netspeed is fine. I'm on a 100mbps port.

VPS overall isn't a good choice for servers aiming on more then 30-40 players.

I'd say the second alternative, though both of them are pretty equal. Though I'm unsure if 2.5 got multi core support?
