As an American, I'm congratulating Brazil on their "very big" accomplishment on having the right to host the 2016 Summer Olympic Games.
No, Brazilians, you didn't get voted because you're better than Americans, nor Madrid, nor Tokyo. You were voted because you haven't had any kind of major sports competition except for 2007 Pan American Games. We've had plenty in USA, there were plenty in Europe, such as the upcoming 2012 London Games, Tokyo wasn't favored through because Beijing just had their Olympics.
So Brazilians, just because you won the vote, it doesn't mean you're the best country in the world or having the best Olympiad ever to face the Earth, you're just overexcited because it's the first games in South America.
