upgrading from 8.50->8.54?

Tried that, but it gave me soooooooo many npc errors

well yea, I'll make my own NPCs instead so it will work
@Cyko, Your solution didn't work.

It basicly just is a lot of work. Download the new server map. Edit the config.lua (NOT replace). Add your CUSTOM scrips to actions.xml and add your custom scripts to the scripts folder. It basicly is the same for every map in the data folder but you must edit the login.lua and not replace (registercreatureevent). Just use ur brain with eventual replacing of the default files.

Tutorials are useless with this. It's different for every new client version. Just buy donator, check websvn and you know exactly what has to be changed in the sources to upgrade to 8.54.

there is not easy way about this.

i did this for my server.
like this:
1) first i destroyed my old xampp and re-installed it (which i am sure you could tranfer character files but for my it was easier to destroy and re-install)
2) then i replaced all my monster files
3) all my actions
4) etc.

there are obviously easier ways. but it is going to take some work.
there is no magic formula for moving everything
