I'm thinking of opening my own OT server. I was wondering what kind of specs and requirements I need.

What sort of precessing power, bandwidth, ...etc.

I would like for it to serve up to a 1000 people at once without crashing or lagging.

1000 people? I think you mean 100 :p, good luck making a server that popular

For 100, probably 2GB of ram for a custom map would be good enough with a good connection

@ grehy I think he was just stating he wants that much space so there is no chance of lag...i do not think he was intending on hosting a server with 1000 people.

@ gevo12321, as rozinx said, a 16 gb ram and its all you should need.
