Hey guys, i've got an iPhone 3G. How many mb/s can it handle with a wifi network? As maxiumum, and how much can a 3GS Handle? I got both of them so that's why i want to compare. I've got 100/100 mb/s network, so i just connect to my router with my iphones.

Do a speedtest to find out?

Bredbandskollen TPTEST
Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test

Enter links on your Iphone. Compare them with your computer. Is your computer results way higher?

If they are the same on computer and Iphone, it means you got crappy internet I guess. :P

An iphone does not work that way.

@TS; just find an application for speedtest. I'm fairly sure there is one for Iphone since I found it on my Samsong moment. And from my experience, there is no phone that has the same broadband speed as your computer has.

EDIT; just tested on my phone right now and its about 1/10th of the comp speed. I got about 10.0Mb/s on my comp

Well I got 50mbit network, and I've tested using CISCO meter on iPhone 3gs, I had 4800kb/s but I was connecting to california wchich is very far from London, so I guess it could be much more.

Are you sure

Well yea, california is at the second end of the world lol.

if you go to speedtest.net on you PC, and try to connect to a server very far from you, your speed will be much decreased.

Use this one:
