Actually, they have no rights to sue us because they code and map in a totally another way and we (OTLand TFS Team) are coding the scripts and code it all by ourselves, so we shouldn't be sued, as long we dont use their website or use real map and donations.

About the client & sprites, we are just borrowing them XD

Not my fault the end user decided to use thier client. They (Cip) can fsck off.

Even better, label your server as a Ultima clone and give praise to Origin as the grandfathers of the style..

It's really a pity. Rl tibia is really nice, in my opinion we are destroying it.
Now there are a lot of noobs posting noob servers, and a loot of ppl noob likes them.

Tibia banished about 16.000 accounts more or less in one year, but what ppl don't know is that by time tibia will recuperate his players because they are tibian Sick.

move over here to OTLand, the name of the project is MOTCUS, purpose? to
break off the whole "Tibia" theme and make one unique for the OT community.

Tibia never die, ots never die. When i was RL TIBIA fanatic i used to hate all ot servers because i thought that my god is being robbed.. But now i know that RL tibia is slavery because they're making 80% of their work for premium players. It's going worse in every update.
Come one, we're living in (almost...) modern society so don't say that cipsoft will punish all ot developers and players and rule the world or whatever.

• We can't really get sued for hosting a server if people use their client to log on, because it's not the hosters breaking any rule since the source code is made by the community, but the people loging in to the game are the ones breaking the rules since they are modifying the client with IP-changer.
• We cannot use Cipsoft website Template since we can get sued for Copyrighted infrigment.
• We cannot switch over to YATC, just yet because it's still in beta, but has been said to be a complete software.
• We cannot use their sprites, but then again we - the people hosting the server cannot be sued since were not the ones using the client. The players online playing our games are.

We know all of that by now but my main question is - What if you were too use a real map but you have replaced all tibian sprites. Would they still be able to sue you for anything?..

A very good question. I would think they probably could try, and might be able to get you shut down since it's their map with replaced ids, but I doubt they'd get any money outta you.
