I understand your points but I don't see the problem yet. Either if there's a shop or not, there will be ways of getting advantages. Whoever can donate, can get stuffs in one way or another, no offense but if you haven't figured it out yet... there's not 1 single "popular" mmo game in the world...

about donations, I like how everyone knock it down without knowing how things works.. you really think only wallet-kids will get their hands on the donation weapons for example? hehe... No.. 1: You gain donation points for some advances. 2: do things right, you will be able to buy any of those...
