You make generalisations based on your own experience(or made it up idk) and assume it applies to everyone. I played back then and I was not complaining, my friends were not complaining and in general there was a healthy balance between complainers and non complainers from my pov, it was widely accepted that tibia is an unforgiving game. It wasn't perfect but it also wasn't broken. You step outside of a PROTECTION ZONE and you are no longer protected, deal with it. This is easily fixed without doing something so dumb as to poof a monster if it walks too far, instead of doing the proper thing they did a stupid thing and it harmed more than just lurers when alternatives exist that harm no one except lurers.
By not listening I don't mean pandering to complainers or the people who want an easy game, I mean they didn't listen to any sort of actual feedback. This is very clear with steep player decline that they had ignored the majority of their player base. Players dont quit for no reason and it's not a coincidence that they had a steep player decline right after a major update and OT had a steep incline... Forums were alight for what seemed like forever and cipsoft heard none of it.
Maybe I'm still wrong though, maybe their player numbers didn't decline to pathetic lows in the face of updates that alienated the majority of their players. Maybe it was just a coincidence.
