A project that began several years ago between four friends has now reached a stage where it’s ready for the public. After many rounds of closed beta testing and countless hours of work with design, art, programming, mapping and balance - We are proud to announce Tibia Reborn: A server based on Tibia 7.4 - 7.7 with heavy customization, all while preserving the classic old-school Tibia game play.

Our goal was to provide an alternative direction to how Tibia could have evolved past its strong roots. Tibia Reborn is a low-rate server with new monsters and maps to explore, combined with features from high-rate servers such as a reduced death penalty and an increased frag count to offer the intense old-school PvP action we all remember - together with unique gear and level progression.

Good job with creating this features in tibianic dll.
You can easly change spr, dat dll file names with hex editor and edit the exe properties using resource hacker. It would look more pro :)
I hope more players will join the server very soon.

The server has now been online for just over a day!

So far there have been no crashes or major bugs (knock on wood). Six determined adventurers have already reached level 20. We’ve also seen the first player purchase promotion!

I look for couple of things when I'm searching for a server to play, e.g.:
  • no p2w shop - Tibia Reborn: Free Account players can use all spells, boats, visit all locations and buy promotion. Premium gives only 10% more experience, skills, magic level and task rewards. Rest of stuff in shop is minor QoL, postman/djinns (lvl restricted), addons.
  • custom stuff - Tibia Reborn: A LOT of interesting custom changes to 7.4-7.7. E.g. skill points make a great twist to vanilla lvl gain, here you have to actually think after each advance - do I need more hp, mana, cap or speed?
  • interesting exploration/hunts - Even though it's based on rl map there are plenty of added/expanded areas and custom monsters.
Server is polished - no significant bugs so far (rare to see with so many custom changes).

The only thing it lacks is more players ;) But it's fun to play even now and it won't get reset, so you can enjoy it at your own pace.
 
The server really has a unique selling point, it appeals to those who like something 7.4 - 7.7 custom, but who don't get tired of the essence of this version.
What bothers me the most is the ping; I see that it has a proxy included, but it needs adjustment, as the routes are not being directed correctly through it. I believe you should take a look at it.

The servers now been up for exactly one week. We’ve seen our first player reach level 40, and the first legendary item has been discovered! To celebrate, we’ll be releasing our first balance patch based on this week’s feedback and internal discussions.

Some thing that have been changed or updated since release are:
  • Resolved an issue where you would connect to a non optimal proxy server.
  • Allowing actions, such as moving items, using runes, etc, without preventing movement (previously causing your character to rubber-band to previous location)
  • Allowing shared experience without dealing damage to killed creature.
  • Improved functionality to W/A/S/D walking.

Tomorrow after SS we'll make the following changes:
  • Master Sorcerers can learn the spell Teleport Creatures, to give them more hunting options with summons.
  • Elder Druids can convince Vampires (800 mana), Priestesses (1100 mana), Blood Ghouls (1100 mana) and Bonebeasts (1200 mana). This change has two purposes: Give convince creature rune more usage - and give Elder Druids access to better summons! Balance-wise, we'll see how this plays out and adjust accordingly.
  • Paralyze mana cost to conjure and use decreased from 1400 to 900. This change aims to make Druids a stronger PvP vocation in the mid-to-late game.
  • Convince creature rune price at NPC increased from 80 to 150 gps (To make conjuring the rune a better option)
  • LMM mana cost decreased from 120 to 80 (To align with the decreased mana cost for HMMs).
  • Create Food mana cost decreased from 120 to 60 (Spell was rarely purchased).
  • Rare items will have borders inside containers and equipment slots.

So server runs for 2 weeks, and players did not report side step bug? How is it possible that you had beta tests, spent countless hours and legit BASIC mechanics that even downloaded pack from otland has fixed, is not fixed there?
WSAD working like on first featured server with such mechanics, that locks you on hotkey window so you have to close it again, renable WSAD and then you can add hotkey. When selling items, you have to spam enter or your character will move away
And character is Dashing all the time. Moving inventory. stuff on the ground. fishing, when you do such activities meanwhile moving, your character makes 2sqm dash or gets stuck 1sqm with lag.
So i read there was 7 day beta with 100cc in inventory, well. There we have a strong feedback players could send for sure
Maybe i'll visit on next edition because this is not completed and needs work to do

Good concept, bad execution, horrible leadership. The server is terribly unbalanced, while any and all criticism is treated as an insult by leadership with terribly fragile egos. From my first interaction with them, it was obvious that player feedback wasn’t welcome, even from someone who put in the time to reach rank #1 and even donated. Instead you get told to "make your own server". Everyone I played with, including their very own appointed tutor, decided that arguing with these people isn't worth it, and quit instead.

Take it from someone who's in their cutesy screenshots they uploaded in this thread: save your time and money and stay away from this wreck. While the server has had one foot in the grave since the very start, this leadership is definitely going to be the nail in the coffin, and so be it.

This guy spends hours complaining on discord that he exps slower than other vocation on 40 lvl on sorcerer 🤣. Everyone knows that sorcerers were totally OP in 7.7 magic system and with tombs, so the owners decided to make other vocations fun too. Information about balance changes was on website long before start, so every player could read it. Even so he and some other sorcerers still complain, because at some a certain level they make lower exp than paladins (he was top1 and lost spot to other vocation 🤣).

Rest is just his rant of a little child who can't play the game. Look at his death list:

Devs are definitely listening to feedback. After discussion with players they made improvements to mages yesterday's server save, but no change can help when he doesn't want to play and just want to flame.
 
The server has now been up and running for slightly more than 2 weeks!

Players are reaching into the level 60 ranges, with one dedicated Paladin reaching level 80 this morning 🎉

Team hunts are becoming common and new custom spawns and items are discovered every day.

Balance changes from the last week~
  • We've added the locations of some lower to mid level custom/modified spawns here https://tibiareborn.net/world_map.php
  • Tasks will be shared (player A gets count, next kill player B counts count, etc) between players using shared experience.
  • Wands/rods now have a base range of 2 (increased from 1) - allowing you to stay out of melee range.
  • The secondary attribute for Strength as a mage will be increased mana with fluids (+2% / 10 points)
  • The secondary attribute for Dexterity as a mage will be increased spell cost reduction (+1% / 10 points).
  • Enchanted staffs now have 4 range instead of 3.
  • Heal friend will heal same as UH-rune (+83% more healing than it does now), and cost will increase from 70 to 140.
  • Mass healing will also heal same as UH-rune, and cost will increase from 150 to 250.
  • Skeleton mages are no longer immune to physical damage, but rather have very high armor and defense values.

I wasn't planning to go into details because it really is irrelevant, but here we go: the fact of the matter is that MS are severely nerfed on the server and every single MS in the top 15 has quit the server because of it. This comes after every single one of us complaining about the balancing, and being brushed off by the GMs because their fragile egos won't let them listen to the players' feedback. They and their minions (like this guy) look at the highscores, and rather than questioning why they have one singular semi-active MS in the top 24, they attack me as if it's my own personal issue. You also attacked the top MS, accusing him of "blackmail" because he expressed that he would have to quit unless MS are rebalanced lol. The lack of self-awareness speaks for itself.

As for the "improvements": it was a tiny blanket buff to mages that doesn't adress the massive gap between MS and other vocations, ED included.



P.S. bringing Discord drama to OTLand and attempting to brigade the thread by linking it there is pathetic. I couldn't care less about my placement on leaderboard, much less my deathlist, that was just to emphasize I actually wasted my time playing their server.

Constructive criticism? This was literally you for three days in our discord server until we gave you time-outs. We've made several changes to improve sorcerers with last week, but we're not going to blindly implement everything from someone who thinks GFB was a sorcerer exclusive spell in 7.7.

1. If you were to actually pay attention, I never claimed that MS should have GFB exclusivity because of the version, but rather in response to your comment where you claim all the buffs that were exclusive to ED were implemented in order to "set the vocations apart", and make the vocations experts of "poison, healing and summons" and "fire, energy and ranged attacks" respectively. In response, I asked you how it then makes sense to not only let them conjure GFB, but also give them an entire UE of their own. Include context next time.

You know these are the only two instances of me calling someone names in ~150 messages, so good job on the cherrypicking, but I digress. You claim there is no constructive criticism when your Discord is full of it, and here's an example of what happens when you leave constructive criticism and the whole admin team come out their ratholes to attack you:

Imagine grown men assembling like the power rangers to call their top players and donators idiots and trash because they dared question their balancing. "Kooltrip Mapman" literally had four messages since server inception, so I guess he was called up as back up to defend the honor of the balacing boys. You and your minions are presumably grown men, bringing up someone's deathlist in response to normal criticism... it's like talking to literal 12-year olds. Now you're derailing the thread in a serious forum by bringing up your Discord drama, once again because someone criticized you.

Moderators: better lock the thread before they get the rest of the goon squad to brigade it.
