I need to reformat my computer. Is there a way to save Mysql database to a disk, and just import it back after I reformat my computer?

I was wondering something. If I have 2 maps that are exactly the same but one map starts at say 15000 15000, and the other map starts at say 150 150, would the map that starts at 150 150 create less lag? Keep in mind they are the exact same map , just different cooridinates. Thanks in advance.
