Linux 404 - Not Found

greetings, i m trying learn something about Linux Ubuntu, and all is OK, but when i try enter to
http://localhost/phpmyadmin/index.php appear a MSG saying 404 - Not Found.
if someone know how fix that, please tell me .
i have almost all installed, im trying install modern account, but when i try install, i need install database server.

2. Is phpmyadmin correctly configurated to it?

When you are installing phpmyadmin, it asks if you want to install it to apache or lighttpd. You use your arrows to select lighttpd, then space to check the box, then enter to install.
Some people encounter problems because they only select lighttpd and click enter, without checking the box it.

Else, well, you should ask for help in the dedicated thread, im sure stian will help you out.

ubuntu is so hard to configure.

You forgot to write permissions?

Just stick to Stians tutorial, you should find it there.

Once you learn how to use Ubuntu it will be much easier than windows.

lol impossible, windows does all this for you, no compiling required. linux might be more stable but windows will always be much easier.
