I've seen a couple of people requesting the old Evolutions 0.7.8 and 0.7.9 XML/SQL servers from over a decade ago.
They can still be found on Xidaozu's old website from 2007 here:

Hope that helps whoever is looking for it.

Cheers

do you know the creator by any chance? I was wondering if he's still checking on opentibia, seeing how his map became most successful base for non-rl servers. Excuse me my ignorance if it's yours.

Unfortunately, I don't. I wouldn't be too surprised if he still checks out the forum though.

I wonder if the creator of this source engine could improve the source, as I have noticed criticism about bugs and clones. Also, the executable can't handle being online for more than 30 to 60 minutes, as it has crashed several times. There are several reasons for this. I would like him to develop a new source

I like this source better. Here in Brazil, it's more popular, especially the 7.92 version with the 'Lord of the Rings' map and everything. I hope he improves the source!

I don't think he has worked on this project for at least 15 years haha.

I wonder if you still have the 0.7.9 XML/SQL versions of this distribution. I can only find the 0.7.8, not the 0.7.9

@Paulo Afonso I don't speak Portuguese, so I don't fully understand what you mean. Limiting Mac, what does that mean? Mac as in a MAC address or a Macintosh? Haha.

I do not have the source code to the Evolution servers, if that's what you're wondering.

Just a question. Why are most xml servers bombarded with viruses?

No idea, but it could also be false flags or some DLL it uses. A lot of things have changed and what was considered ordinary behavior back then might be flagged by anti-malware today. These servers are nearly 20 years old and are in horrible condition. Sometimes outdated tech gets flagged as malicious. I wouldn't recommend running these servers for anything else other than nostalgia.

Spin up a Windows XP, Vista or 7 in a VM for the sake of nostalgia, and play the Evolutions 0.7.8 XML using that Simpson IP changer and the 7.92 Tibia client. The game was so ugly and bad back then. Nothing was properly made. Everything was just half-assed together by 20 people. But I loved that era. It made people creative and we saw like 50 different map variants of the Evolutions. It belongs in the history books.

I remember those times...
Simpson IP Changer haha totally forgot about that one. If I remember correctly it had some "The Matrix" vibes to it as well, black glasses, black suit and all.

Well, thanks for explaining.
I have a bunch of old xml servers on a USB stick labeled VIRUS.
When I get my hands on some cheap laptop I'll plug it in and try messing with some servers just to remember the feeling.
