Suggestion A gore forum?

I would like to apply to open a new part of the forum. a gore forum to talk about 18+ stuff. its annoying to be not able to talk to people about.. well.. crazy shit without beeign reported. a place we could chill the fk away and share scary videos i would get banned for in other stuff liek chit chat or screenshots.

However - an unmoderated board is not going to happen. Nevermind a "gore" board. And your example with two dwarves is innocent. But bodies, severed arms, decapitated heads is not. It does not belong on this forum. We already have chitchat for unrelated tibia material and that is regulated just fine. I agreed with the 18+ potentially being a good idea - i just disagree with an unmoderated "gore" board.

I can see why having an adult area would be somewhat appropriate, considering a lot of 'senior members' are now adults. However, such an area would probably be pointless as there are likely a very small amount of people willing to publicly discuss personal matters on the internet. Wouldn't you agree? So, in the end, would it make sense to open a board for this? Probably not. With that being said, I don't mind if such an area were created, as long as it is moderated.

Same, I agree. I'm not really against it per se, but I can't say this is something that I'd "want" either. These suggestions on expanding otland drop it a bit here and there, trying to cram in more sides to this site, which is understandable. If you like something, like this site and the community, you'd want to try to incorporate your other "interests"(can't figure out the right word) as well. Even though it's understandable why you'd like to have it that way, it doesn't mean that it's "right". OTland is OTland for a reason. The current boards offer you plenty of topics you can discuss already, I admit you are a bit limited because of the age and attitude here of the member, but that's what makes OTland. There are things OTLand can improve, but this element is not one of them.

This is not directed towards you J.dre btw, just in general. If you think about this site as a middle school, it wouldn't make sense to add high school or college elements. I get that a lot of people grew up on these sites and would want to stay, but it comes to a point where you just have to accept that you've somewhat outgrown it. Instead of trying to incorporate your new interests, to give you more reason to visit this site, accept it. You can still visit, that's not a problem, but stop trying to touch the middle school when you've left it. It's just unfair to the "middle schoolers". Find a new place to discuss your "grown up" interests, there is not a lack of those places on the net, I can tell you that. Stop living in the past.

But really, we cant even curse without being warned on OtLand, it's a kid-friendly place, which I hate by the way, but that's how it is and if it's like that, they wont create a gore sub-board. But I only watch that shit to discuss with friends IRL on rare occasions. If it was added, only Blazed Druid would take part in it.

"Gore," as in dead bodies and such? Um, this is an OPEN TIBIA FORUM. "Hell no" is my answer. There are still kids present on these forums every day. Look at these types of pictures on your own time without destroying our community.

On the other hand, if Talaturen wanted to open a sub-forum in the Chit Chat area for adults only (as in, we can discuss adult related matters) based on our profile's DOB, that's fine with me. Of course I still expect a certain level of moderation to be within such a section - sometimes things can get out of hand and still be very inappropriate for such a community. By the way, I believe "21 & over" is more suited for such a section, not 18, but that's just my opinion on the matter.

No, this is a forum that revolves around OpenTibia, programming and gaming in general terms. Such a board would be out of the spectrum of things our interest is in.

Not to mention that a "Don't enter unless you're 18+" sign has stopped no minor from entering. It's a wannabe prohibition that actually sparks a minor's interest to see what's in.

Anyway, this forum has a vast amount of people below the age of 16. I don't think anything that will be posted there will be pleasant to them. We don't want to create phobias and conditions.

I believe "21-and-over" is an American standard. As this is more of a universal area.

I think either way most countries adult ages are 18+, In my country I am considered an adult and would be eligible to view all adult restricted material. Meh the forum probably wont be accepted so.
