Okay, so I was playing on Elythion OTS a while back and stopped. After about two weeks, I went to the website to see how things were going, and the number of online players hadn't changed—it was still 29 the whole time. The weirdest part was that my character was online xD even though I hadn't logged in for two weeks, all my other characters were offline—only that one was online. After logging into the server, was on some resp killing mobs.

i was immortal,

Is it possible that the OTS admins are using bots to inflate the number of online players? I don't have any other explanation, but I'm not accusing anyone either, so be careful if you want to play there.

. i deleted arleady all my chars btw

we have had quite a lot of threads calling out OTS with automated characters or spoofing number of players, but I dont remember seeing a full cave bot experience yet.

You should have had a blast with PvP.

most of spoofing is fully ai players that hunting etc, acting like players thats how people stay hidden but this guy was stupid to use players accounts rofl ? its rly sad

From chat with owner about 'immortal players':
Idk really but if the server do quick restart everyday it does not happen if it keep for more than 72 hours uptime it does happen
Last OTS restart was over 2 weeks ago. It's based on TFS 0.4/OTX2, with a lot of custom - probably bugged - systems.
Also server reports real number of players to otservlist, it's 15 online with 8 unique IPs:
You can see that number of players goes down over last 30 days, so it does not look like it fakes players online:

Probably some players listed as online on websites are training on exit or website reports wrong number of players after some OTS crash - they are marked as 'online' in database, but they are not in game at all.

If you are owner of a server, using vibecoding, you can develop a headless system to sustain 500-600 bots (you know protocols, you know RSA key, you know XTEA encrypt, etc)
