So, from my understanding by reading other posts, is not using an automatic account creation website safer than using any website?
If I have a server that does not use a website for anything, am I more secured from being hacked than using a website?

Unless you get someone to review the code and check for security holes in the AAC, yeah, not using an AAC would be the safer alternative.

I think that modern account is very easy to hide back doors becouse a lot of archives and folders, i use Gesior AAC without houses.php and signatures generatior, on this way the only problem will be the non criptographed recovery keys, remove the recovery key option from the lost account php file, hire an SMTP server, and configure Gesior to send emails with new passwords. You will have a 100% secure web site.

gesior its almost "safe", i use it, the only problem with gesior its that he used old html and inline codes, im going to probably put out there a wesker system, eventually, with html5, for all of us that want to have a real website and not just a old web ripp

Apart from the problems that the account manager can bring you because "bad intensional" players and the limitations in terms of administration, a web site is not only to create accounts, but especially for mature, disseminate and consolidate any project.

In short, there is no prospect for an open tibia server without a web site.

Sure in-game acc manager is safer, but it looks unprofessional and its really annoying. i would suggest using a website and scan it with a vulnscanner
