Hello everyone!

After a long 10–15 years, I’m back into mapping. I’ve actually been doing it quietly since August ’24, with just a short return a few years ago. Since that August, I’ve been continuously developing my project — Eternal Kingdoms — all on my own, hoping to finally finish it someday (at least I hope so).

In the past few months, I’ve mostly focused on data development — scripts, lore, NPCs, etc. But from time to time, I still do some mapping. Years ago, mapping was my hobby, nowadays, I do it because no one else will. ;p

The map that was leaked here years ago was never a 1:1 version of what we had in the project. Many ugly changes were made by people who got hold of it without any legitimacy from the actual authors (I was the biggest contributor). Of course, in my version of the map, those changes were never present — so in this thread, I’d like to show you the real results and how it should like. :)

First, I’d like to show you an overview — here’s the current minimap of the world I’d like to have ready for go-live.

It’s currently around 51.6 MB, though probably about ~5 MB of that won’t be reachable at the start — specifically, the entire dwarven kingdom. For those familiar with the leaked map: it’s the underground area located in the top-right part of the main continent actually on the floors 0-7. Finishing it up (refactoring, lore, scripts, etc.) would take too much time right now. Probably around next 3-5 MB is needed to finish the map (mostly underground spots), so the final map will close about that 50-51MB - that's the goal. It was originally created as Tibia 8.42 custom developed under TFS 0.3.4, so year ago I had to start with moving all the things into 8.6 version and adapt to TFS 1.5 downgrade by Nekiro (wasn't so easy... but it's almost done fully and data pack, trust me is quite big).

I have so many things to show, so maybe I’ll start the journey from the main city of Estimar, the capital of the Rehniwen Kingdom, and try to follow the route players would take in the game. Not everything will be awesome, breathtaking right away — for the better, newer stuff, you’ll have to wait a bit. :)

If there is a city, there has to be a depo :) The center of local society.

2nd post because of 5 pics limit...

And if you’ve grown hungry, there’s a place nearby where local delicacies are served. Who knows — maybe there’s also some work to be found? Perhaps someone will be willing to pay for a task or two?

And once you’re all set and organized, it might be a good idea to stock up on some gear before setting out on your journey...

Being prepared, it’s time to slay a few nasty monsters.

Let me know if you’d like me to keep posting a few pics from time to time! I really have a lot of stuff...

Hi, the map is very nice, i have used parts of leaked version many times in my projects, mostly the elven city in the mountain. I remember that i have corrected city abit keeping the orginal vibe, had alot of fun of it. Thanks. 👍 It's good to see that the project is continuing, there are many maps on the web, many projects without a happy ending.

For sure would like to see more. 👌

For me the pathfinding looks too hard to play on those maps. Too many objects that obstruct player's path. Also I feel it has excess of detail, and the one that has mountain ground inside the walls looks a bit weird, I would keep the walls only. Don't take this as a bad comment, it's good to see the effort you put using every object from the 8.6 palette, but it's too much for me. Best wishes on your proyect, keep up the good work!

Our journey last left off at the eastern gate of Estimar. I headed southeast, across the river.

While I was still in the city, I overheard rumors that on the hills of Arn’aghzul — a place with quite a grim reputation — some many-eyed creatures had made their lair within the elven ruins.

I’ve met their kind before — a few blinking eyes aren’t enough to strike fear into me... and as for those elven ruins? Who knows what secrets they might still conceal...

(Im not the author of the places shown above - creds to the guy named Marfi, my parts below)

From old tomes I’ve learned that these vile beings are to blame for the dead rising from their graves in the Great Necropolis - at least that's what I understood from their weird language. Gripping my trusty axe, I set out to lay the undead back to rest once more. The fewer evils roaming the world, the better... (to be continued)

I hope you like the way I present the map :) Feel free to share any ideas or suggestions! I could post way more screenshots at once, but that 5-image limit per post is a bit annoying...
