Server site does always feel much safer, if you dont know why you will do it soon if you stay here on otland for a while ;)

i agree site but how the fuck does it feel safer? use your words wisely
 
Well it depends on if your db is mysql or sqlite in some older versions you didn't need to use sha1.
Then you get the password straight off the database and are able to hack everyone on other ots, shure you can still have a legit server without website but never use your "main" passwords on ots without website.

Creating your account on a website or in-game doesn't change the database encryption......? They are both the same, its just preference of wanting to log into a website and type 50 things to get your account working, or do u want to log in and type 3 words and be done with it. @Xagul I know but i havnt seen seen that many mysql databases that doesnt have encrypt but i have seen alot of sqlite ones, this might be just me xD
 
I prefer website, could be simple as wel and can be used for a lot of other stuff aswell. A decent looking site makes a project seem that much more serious
