Suggestion Add support for URL avatars.

Hey,

I want to have support for URL avatars so I can make dynamic avatars. This is a good thing because I'll be able to change image like in my signature, but Otland also saves bandwidth compared to host every avatar in-house.

He can say what he want. Hack otland and add it myself :P, anyway, otland could really save some bandwidth atleast. It's slow from time to time.

Actually it may make the loading slower, because you will have to make a request (DNS) to another server to load the image if you host it on own server or on a not widely known images host service (DNS not on cache).

And if users start to host their avatars on slow servers (slower than OtLand) it will be even slower... it is already happening with signatures btw.
 
Well, i load diskusjon.no with 200 posts faster then otland some times. Images is loaded after the content.

They already do using a signature image. And they can run any javascript they want from within a image in Internet Explorer anyway.
