I'm trying to get the first beggar addon but it doesn't work;

20:45 Simon the Beggar: To achieve the first beggar addon you need to give me 100 ape furs and 20,000 gold pieces. Do you have them with you?

I reply with 'yes' and the npc doesnt respond and I don't get the addon.

And I've the items.
