Alert feature semi-broken?

Sometimes I get alerts, sometimes I dont. Specially when its @ mentions, I've seen people complaint about this before so I know I'm not the only on.

Is this how it should work(no alerts for some sections) or is it really not working all that well?

xD i think it's bugged for few sections
because there are many threads i posted in .. i get alerts for few days
and then nothing more

Yeah everything is ticked.

Hmm, no idea then. All mine seem to work fine.
