The Reasoning


The idea behind this new server is the fact that there aren't any low experienced server's, the real map issue has been dealt with due to more shotty looking custom maps being made. But where are all the real RPG servers? You have all these beautiful maps being released however they all have high experience rates then they shut down.


Brief Server Details


Experience Rate - This will be dependant and will be done via a voting system upon beta testing. The ideal rate however will be no lower then 2x experience, and will be no higher then 10x experience.


Loot Rate - This server will be based due to prices on weapon's, all weapons will be sellable to NPCs, some items will not be able to be sold to average merchants and will require certain quest's to be completed before having the ability to sell such a item.


Housing - Houses will be not be buyable buy all players, players will have to complete a mission (This is a simple one, in which a player must save the housing NPC that's being trapped at a certain hidden spawn.) Houses will be brought at the door, not using the NPC he is for RPG purposes.


NPCs - Ah here's the fun bit! All NPC's will be coded to speak in full dialect which means there will be no "5gp for bread" it will be resulted to "5 Gold Pieces for a Loaf of Bread" just giving it a further boost in the RPG direction. NPC's will all have quest's to them as well, which can further you in selling items/buying items at various prices.


Map - The server will be released with 70% of the map completed. The reason for this being a low experience server should not need demon's instantly, there will be quest's needing to be completed before entering Glarmorak Pits. Each server save, certain creatures will make advances into territory this meaning, one point in time there may be no way to access a dwarf cave, or it may be a fairly long walk.


At server save, updates will be put in place to show that the creatures are either digging attempting to move from their habitat. (Note this will not be a regular
occurrence only once a week.
)


Unique Features - Players will have more impact on the server, we will be hiring two dedicated quest goers who will be given scripts (verbal scripts) and will take players on mysterious quest's that aren't accessible on their own and require a team event. These will be well planned and will be supervised by an Admin, and tutors to make sure the gamemaster does not abuse his/her responsibilities.


Outfits - The first outfits (Free Account Standard) Will be obtainable via your first quest given when you reach the mainland. Outfits from there on wards will be rewards for quest's, after completing multiple quest's from certain NPC's, they will give you the option of having an outfit created this is provided the NPC is a tailor and has the tools available there will be select NPC's that represent this.


Weaponry - Weapons will have their own certain value, this means looting a halberd may be worth only 15 Gold Pieces at level 20, however at level 50 you may be able to sell them at a higher price. As level increases your bartering skills will increase also, this means lower levels will make a profit when higher level's are buying items from players. This also keep's a stable weapon > cash profit value for people selling items.


Train Station Feature - There will be a train station + boat dock located in each main city, this allows players to travel to their favourite destinations and also view their trip as it goes. (This feature was used on multiple servers, such as Kingdom age, and therefore do not take any credit for the idea.)


Pets - At a certain level (Yet to be decided, may be roughly 70) Characters will be able to adopt a pet, pet's won't be dragons and what not. Pet's will range from dogs/cats/wolves/rabbits, Creatures like wolves will attack creatures with you but are not recommended to fight with. This is the same as real life, would you make your dog fight a dragon? (Speaking, if dragons were real.) So their more of a decoration.
