Animera discussion thread

All kinds of custom features, like maybe each monsters has .1% chance of dropping a really good item, or they can drop some kind of spell scroll to learn a new spell. Detailed quests, not quest where you just go into a portal kill some monsters and you're done, you need to make quest where you need to think, find all kinds of notes, secrets, books inside libraries , box's to help you with quest etc.. custom monsters, you need to make custom names, level, exp and what it drops, killing the same monsters you have seen before is so boring and dull, fighting new monsters that you know nothing about its way more fun. Make custom spells, we have all seen the regular spells for years and years, you need to make all kinds of custom spells. I have much much more to say but I don't feel like typing any more lol.

Thanks, Atm we made dragons loot fire axe, Wyrms dropping spellbook, blacksteel sword, Behemoth dropping castle shield and crusader helmets, giant spider drops blood herb etc.
We got now 28 custom spells and i am busy making much new spells either, i edited some rl tibia spells, like the 7.6 Ue's etc. We got a lot of quests contains NPC and quests where you need to find an item, kill X monsters, Talk with other npcs etc... and about the books inside libraries are we also working on either, custom monsters either we got now 160 custom creatures and its raising!,
 
NOOOO, that right there doesn't wanna make me play it now, all the items are non custom.. that's so boring and dull for me, I don't know about other people but I can't stand regular tibia items, I've seen them a million times and they're so boring. You don't necessarily have to change the sprite just the name, it's attributes and what monster drops it. Knowing everything a dragon can drop is so boring, I think you should make it so most of the items if not all custom in either, name, stats and what drops it because know what monster drops what is boring.

Again thanks for your post, Well we got a lot fo custom items, some got custom attributes and some got an action script on it or whatever, also soon weapons got newer attributes with extra bonusses and -bonusses but not that randomized stats on each weapon since it drives me insane checking every weapon and check wich one is better and choose hmmm one spike sword with faster attack speed or with stronger attack etc. you know, and what i also wanna fix is on a lot of items in ot, it gives a message like this is itemid xxx report to gm etc you know? i want that fixed either,
 
Make custom monsters, by that I mean different name, level, exp and what it drops, because killing the same monsters we have seen for years is boring. Custom monsters with custom items will make me happy.
 
Atm we got over 160 custom creatures but now i will customize also the real ones, ive edited the dragon and vampire already, it's almost as hard as rl but it got some different attacks and loot and such
 
As most servers I see that the custom monsters are ALWAYS at the higher levels, and most people don't even play that long, so I'm suggesting that you spread them out through the levels because if you have to wait for a high level just hunt custom monsters that's just stupid.
Btw, what can you tell me about the map, is it a teleport map or is it a huge map where you explore find secrets etc..?
 
Well custom monster werent just for higher levels, i got also some ghost in a lamp script and such things i also had monsters for low levels etc. The map was based on evo(when i started evo wasnt popular) with custom map i kept the city default for old school feeling + custom it was first 2mb its now over 15mb and it got no teleports except to event arena/citizen etc. I try now to make something else then just evo since every1 use it, and i made a mine with 5 cars each will bring you to a small spawn, its like tp but cooler and it wont bring you to strong monsters just 5 weaklings to get easy some level in the start but further no tps
 
Hey! It's Newbie from your server. Sorry for reviving the thread if y'all wanted it to die. I was thinking about maybe adding in some of the real tibia quests, because as far as I know they were not in there. Or, if you are not in to the idea of adding in POI or whatever other quests, maybe you could make your own custom quests that have the same general idea and reward very nice items for maybe levl 200+ or maybe even higher. With all the custom monsters you made, I am sure that you could possibly add in your monsters instead of using the generic demons with other monsters thrown in.

Any idea when the server will come back up?

Im still working on it, sorry i was inactive for 3 weeks(vacation morocco). I already got poi and annih and demon oak etc im working on a lot of things and try to make animera even better then ever!
 
Awesome. Any kind of estimated release date, or approximately how long you are going to code more stuff in to the server? I just can't seem to find another server I like as much as yours.
