The project was abandoned IIRC. Reason being is even if they could get some decent amount of people to test the server for bugs (AND THERE WERE MANY, you can still download the server as is now) it just requires so much effort to play. Getting any 6.x client does not work with current operating systems. You have to teach people how to host a virtual machine to install a legacy operating system to then install the tibia client and connect.
- Note: If anyone truly wants a project like this to live focus on porting a 6.x version of tibia client to work on current operating systems. That is the only chance one of these will ever succeed. Every prior development team pretty much called it quits at that point because they had no interest in reprogramming the client.
