My name is David and I'm a visual basic.net programmer. I've created one data-management program for a small business owner here my home town, but other than that I have no other professional experience or training. I started programming as a hobby and fell in love with it. The learning experience that I received was simply teaching myself how to program following how-to video's and tutorials.
Below is a list of programs that I've created just for fun:
1)'Sticky Notes' for Windows XP. It resembles 'sticky notes' in Win Vista/7
2)Sliding controls
3)Circular progressbar
4)Class to hold every country in the world and their flag
5)Syntax Highlighter
6)Class to convert txt files to datatables and vise-versa
7)XNA controls for winform applications
8)Custom month calendar
9)Sub to dynamically change the connection string
Some games that I've created are:
1)tic-tac-toe
2)pong
3)brick breaker
4)simon
5)tron-light cycles
6)connect4
7)hangman
8)pure vb.net 2d tile based map engine
9)Plinko
10)2d tile based map creator
I also have experience working with XNA in not only visual basic.net, but in windows form applications. This is an achievement in it's own right, as finding any documentation on working with XNA in any windows form application(vb.net or c#.net) is limited at best. If you would like to see my contribution to the programming community of the world I have a username(dday9) on vbforums.com. On that website you'll see that I'm a respected member of the forum due to my quick, accurate responses and willingness to work with others.
The job that I'm seeking is more of a free lance type work. The reason for this is, I currently have a full time job, I would just like to see the fruits of my labor for how good of a programmer I am.
If you feel as though I could be of help, whether it be full projects, homework, or just quick advice, please feel free to email or pm me.
