one thing Ive learned from Illyrium. Dont pay that much attention to the shape overall. It'll only set limits for your true mapping art.

I got way to attached to my minimap and wasted hours and hours to get mine great, and then I was disabled by the limits by a pre-done minimap.

One of the reason why Illyrium was cancelled was by this. I made my Minimap which I loved. Came up with a idea and story.
Fine, its HOT - the hard part is to fill it with map. And the fun will be devoured from you while your map and see all your greeen empty areas.
The major reason was my daughter sooo... Probs would get cancelled eitherway xd
 
Ways too overspammed for my taste but i really like the ruin and the swamp.
