Best linux version ?

can some one tell what linux version is best ?

having problem with DDoS atack`s, so i want to change to linux

2.6.36 is good

Otherwise I have good experience with 2.6.18-RHEL.

Or do you mean distro? Ubuntu is good (way better for people who are new to linux), fedora is better (a bit more tricky, but overall better), gentoo is best (require lots of time since you compile everything for your setup and cpu).

ok, since am new to this i think i will try ubuntu what version should i use then, ubuntu 2.6.36 ? xD

10.04 LTS or 10.10.
