Best way to auto restart server in Linux

What are you using to auto restart a server after a crash?

I'm using Ubuntu server, and it seems that upstart it's the way to go.

You could also just use a simple batch script?
something in style with:

#/bin/bash
while [ 1 ]; do
./theforgottenserver
done
