Botting and how Tibia becomes an obsession.

Has anyone else noticed that since you started botting Tibia has became more of an obsession?

How? I will explain.

If you say you are too busy in real life to play Tibia, what is the point of botting?
Will you ever actually manual play the character and enjoy Tibia for what it is? Or will you just sell the character for a bit of extra cash?

Work it out, if you bot a character, the amount of time you get the character up to a level worth selling with equipment worth selling, you could have found a job and had a monthly/weekly income.

An obsession;

1. Compulsive preoccupation with a fixed idea or an unwanted feeling or emotion, often accompanied by symptoms of anxiety.
2. A compulsive, often unreasonable idea or emotion.

So, when you bot, you have a fixed idea of getting the character to a level, either starting to play it manual from there or selling it. Though it is a fixed idea.

An obsession for playing Tibia is causing you to bot, therefore you will still take the time to set the bot up, start your equipment, buy equipment etc throughout the game, even if you are going to sell the character, you will still be a part of the game.

To those who think about botting, it ruins the entire game for you.
Why?
Tibia is a game based on questing, exping and friendship, or, at least it used to be.

I have no idea why I posted this, just though I would express my self experiences.

I find comments like this are ignorant, therefor I feel the need to inform you of the reason why bots exist.

In all games and in real life, people always want to better themselves. Take professional athletes, many take steroids to better themselves. Do you know how the other players get on the same level? By starting to take steroids. This is because it gives you an edge over your competition, and when a person reaches their peak of physical performance the only way to surpass it is to take substances.

The same is true in Tibia. Everyone remembers their first character, that barely made it out of Rookgaard or past level 30? Can anyone remember a time when a legit player was at the top of the leaderboards? That was about 8 years ago. Since then, botters have spread like the Zerg swarm (for anyone who understands this SC reference). I have played Tibia for many years, I've been a legit high level (108 EK) and I've fought wars on many different servers. Eventually I noticed something, as people began to bot I fell behind compared to those who were botting. I watched as I gained levels slowly while the enemy team botted and shared accounts while I tried to slug it out legit. Guess what happened? My team lost and has been hunted.

In this case, I believe that if you can't beat 'em, you just have to join 'em.

And i do not use bot, ofc i have tryed one once, but never something big, and my last char/account (the one you know) i never used one, but always i sent messages to you, you never answer me and some time after you ust said something like "o srry was a friend playing" and that shiet ! but yeye you admit it now xD if you are botting at least set the thing to only attack monster that attack you, hate those botters killing your monsters

I think he's trying to say the only legit reason to bot is to level up and war and anything else makes you a 'fucking no lifer'.

I can't bot, Mcafee sees a botprogram as a total virus so it gets deleted immediatly, and if I could bot, I'd only use it for skills, never for anything else

Well, I agree and disagree somehow..

I mean, i agree because it removes the fun of tibia, etc etc BUT if you dont bot you will fall behind like hell, hunts arent even fun.

Lets make an example,

Who the f**k goes to kill 4000 necromancers to get the task done, to recieve 400k?!
Botting that task takes 5 days max (without stamina)
Making that task manually takes over 20 days if you play 3h a day.

Another example:

6666 demons? are you kidding me? each demon takes 3 minutes 3*6666/60/24 Doing that task manually will take 13.8 days (non-stop)
Now if we count 13.8 days non-stop, it would be impossible, so a person that plays 5h a day will need 70 days to complete the task.
But if you bot it will take a maximum of 20 days, see the difference?

I hate botters because it has ruined the whole game. I myself have 80~ek only, i have made it manually. And all i get is laughter how noob is my lvl and how noob i am for making that lvl for so long. I get home late and usually i play before going to sleep like 2-3h a day and at that time pretty much all places are taken by botters. I cannot kill them coz if i do some lvl 200 pops up and kills me like nothing... right now there are only few things that keeps me motivated to play, i want to make POI, Annihi, Demon helmet quest and when those things are done ill prolly quit coz i really feel like it is waste of time to play. I only have few friends left, most of them have quit long time ago because of the hotkey system or the botters.
