You ever think about adding a “2h sword” wielding beserker? Doesn’t use a shield at all but gets extra stats from justvwielding 1 sword. Slow moving attacks but heavy damage and big aoe

It would be cool but need to be very careful with slow attacking high damage stuff for the sake of pvp. Wouldn't be very fun if a vocation did so much damage that it would combo someone from full to dead instantly. There is a lot of potential voc combos that can deal pretty high burst damage but only 1 spell in the game that really does that "heavy damage" you are talking about and it's snipe shot. It can exist because it is highly situational due to the nature of the mechanic itself.

well I figured “heavy damage” would be directly proportional to the amount of tankiness lost due to the lost shield. Also you could make the “heavy damage” only applicable for beserker spells and make sure the spells have a shared cool down with other “comboable” spells. Or a bigger cooldown. The 2 handed archetype isn’t used on this OT yet so that source of inspiration is still there

Ps. Big telegraphed start up “animations” in the form of “yelling” text

Pps. You could also give it a dash skill, with like a 2-3 second cooldown and make all of its “heavy damage” moves root it and telegraph the attack with a yell(which could also cause pve mobs to flee), the yell would be on screen for 1 second then the attack would go off. Hopefully, this would make it easy enough to avoid in pvp as well as encourage team play by other players slowing enemies/players for the beserker to whack.

Is there no way to be reborn, to continue training an earlier skill before rebirth? It's not, we'll have to take cc to go back to training. But if the idea is this then okay.

Zenbow uber made me pop people. Then you nerfed it . Still popped people

No I don't have any current plans for vocation balance right now aside from the modifications to spells like mortification to make them less annoying for manual play. Pretty sure last era I went over all the current vocs to figure out what adjustments were needed so I will wait until people get their hands on the new vocs before doing another run through for balance.

Speaking of new vocs...

Wait like said a few posts back i feel like shamans totems should have a call totem spell for the ones out currently so it makes moving to a new spot feel more fluid then recasting etc

So @Xagul, since i know your a master scriptor, is it possible to make the amazonian when she does her spear attack instead of her bow to make it cleave? i think thatd make it more interesting. Also is it possible to make amazonians female only and somehow deal more damage against males? (lore based kinda)

whaddup 😁 You know, this new era is gonna coincide with the new PoE league, right? That will be out in early June...that's not too far away! Unfortunately, it also coincides with my work picking up... :( By june 5th, I'll only have mon-tues off every week. How am I supposed to split my time between Dzot and PoE, gaht'dammit. Why you do this to meh.

What about a dot oriented class like an affliction warlock from warcraft or occultist from PoE? Have different curses/debuffs that ramp up? Instead of buffing allies it would focus on debuffing enemies.

Ooh ooh, i got one.

Vocation idea: Geomancer

Super tanky low-damage mage with two little rock golem minions that do the majority of the Geomancers damage. Skills could be like,

'rock throw' low-dmg single target ranged spell (10soul),
'boulder roll' low-to-mid-dmg multi target in a 4 square wide line with knockback(25soul),
'stone armor/petrified skin' armor buff skill, 10-15 seconds of mid-to-high% damage reduction with a cooldown(50soul),
'Summon Golems' summon minion skill, minions are aggressive, deal decent damage--i could see them being melee, or throwing rocks for distance, mid-to-high%, benefiting from higher ML, (50soul)
Torn between the fifth skill being like, another defensive skill, or a minion skill, like 'team attack' or something. 🔥🐲
Passive could be like, every 30 seconds the geomancer auto-casts stone skin or something defensive.


Geomancer could be a low-cost provider of defences to another mage voc/any voc, really, with the minions providing extra attacks/diverting mob attacks and with the stoneskin spell+passive providing %damage reduction at opportunistic times.

I could probably come up with better but this is what I thought up on the fly o_O
