Change EMAIL

my account has been hacked, and he got my email password, I already changed the password of my character, but... he have the email, he can get the password anytime he wants, I need to change the email too...
 
For now it's just impossible. But I'm really wondering what for are revocery keys? :D

Contact your e-mail service provider to recover your e-mail account, without it you won't be able to recover your ShadowCores account. If we were to allow e-mail change, then the hacker would just change your e-mail and you'd have zero chance to get it back.

We don't use recovery keys anymore. We removed that system around 3 months ago. It's hard to remember a recovery key, it's easy to remember your own e-mail. There is no way for a hacker to know which e-mail an account is registered to unless you expose that information to the hacker. If you have a keylogger on your computer, the hacker would get your recovery key through that anyway. With the e-mail system, most e-mail services (such as GMail) provide secure methods for both authentication and recovering your e-mail account.
 
I totally agree with you Mark. But some cases you should fix individually in my opinion. (My case for example too :) )
 
People how save recovery key in the computer arent so smart, I always saved my recoverys keys in my celphone...
And about the email, there is no way you can use the same email again, I think you(talaturen) should think about it... about recovery key, and using recovery keys, you could change your email account.

I'm not sure if I understood your post, but you are able to use the same e-mail address on multiple accounts.
 
But I think the problem is other... he want to change his email account, not using his email to create another account AGAIN, and some emails you cant recovery, YOU CAN, but is hard, bcuz some emails when you create, they ask a "second email", and people rarely do, they just put [email protected] and put to create the email... and my post was about the recovery key, recovery key will be always the smart way of recovery your account, with recovery key you should do all you want, change the password and the email, this will give power to the owner account, and if he be hacked, he can format the computer and use the recovery key to take the account back.
