The easiest way would be using Otclient.
As you got the sources everything is possible.
If you want to use real client then you need something like a dll injection which reads a special packet and then changes the value set as the players name, which is quite difficult.

That's from almost 5 years ago, I don't know if its still even relevant
This works if you want to change the name of other creatures ingame, but actually changing the name of the player has WAY more stuff to deal with, like updating the database to the new name, and I don't know how good the server will behave if you change the name of a player while he is on the server
