Ok call me noob all you want, but what the heck does "cid" mean in all the lua scripts?

i need a full description of what it is and what it does, please and thank you

Creature ID, its an unique number related to the one creature only, and you can then use together with other functions in C++ that will find the creature object based on the ID you passed to it and will do whatever this function do.
