I just started thinking to myself, why do we abbreviate Gold Coins as gp, but then abbreviate Crystal Coins as cc? Shouldn't it be abbreviated as gc? Yeah I'm bored, so what :p but post your thoughts!
 
I knew it was gold pieces but I just didn't understand why they abbreviated it as gp instead of gc :p
 
its not only on Tibia, Its also on runescape and a lot of multiplayer games and exploiters sellers xD
 
I've never even heard platinum coins be abbreviated besides 'plats'. Our world is all twisted upside down :p
 
My cousin used to say 10 plats = 10k.. I'd be like "Give me 5k." Then he'd give me 5 plats and go "YOU OWE ME THATS A LOT"

100kk is 100 thousand thousands... which is 100,000,000 or 100m (100 * 1000 *1000)
1000k is 1000 thousand... that's 1m.

but at the end of the day, why not say "1m" instead of shit like "100kk"? it just makes no sense... guess that's what comes with games occupied by mainly 10 year olds lol
 
i think gp sounds much better then gc and gold pieces is much better then gold coins xD
 
Very Very old times, in tibia was gold pieces in place of gold coins, i think the main reason that it is still in use is habitation to it
 
k = kilo = x 1,000
eg.
1 kilogram = 1,000 grams = 1x 1,000 grams
10 kilograms = 10,000 grams = 10x 1,000 grams

1k = 1000 = 1x 1000
10k= 10,000 = 10x 1000
100k = 100,000 = 100x1000
1kk = 1,000,000 = 1x1000x1000
10kk = 10,000,000 = 10x1000x1000
