Combat stats: Did OpenTibia get it in?

I'm not sure if this has been brought up before, I apologize if it has.
OpenTibia was created from scratch, so there are some calculations that may not be exact to what CipSoft has.

So, I was reading this article on Tibia-STATs and came across with something very interesting and something that not many Tibians know about.
ARTICLE: Research

One of the things in that article revealed was that when using a shield, the defense of the weapon and shield do not add up.
Only the object with the highest defense will be the primary defense and the other get canceled out (becomes 0).

So for example,
The Justice Seeker (one handed) has 37 attack/24 defense and mastermind shield has 37 defense.
Since the Justice Seeker defense is less than the defense of the mastermind shield, the defense of the justice seeker is canceled out (becomes 0)
and the defense of the mastermind shield becomes your primary defense, remember THEY DO NOT ADD UP.
Therefore, your combat stats become 37 attack and 37 defense.

Now, if you use The Avenger (two handed), it has 50 attack/38 defense.
Since you cannot wear a shield with a two handed weapon, there is no defense cancellation that we need to worry about.
Therefore, your combat stats become 50 attack and 38 defense.

Therefore, using The Avenger is better than using the Justice Seeker with mastermind shield.

Question is, did OpenTibia get this in their system? Does this work in the latest TFS or OTserv branch?
 
yes.

P.s. If you have a sov and a snake god's wristguard, you will not have the defense of the sov, but rather the defense of the wristshit. And you're forgetting about the +3 on the justice seeker.
 
But... wich skill will be used when blocking with a weapon?

If I use a two-handed weapon, would my shielding skill make my blocking better?
