Hi all,
I just set up an OT server, working well. Thing is, unlike some other servers I tried first, this one is command line instead of GUI. My question is how can I get input to the server while it's running? Kick players, reload config, or even shut down the server cleanly? I can't seem to type anything into the server window. Sorry for the noob question, I did try searching first.

The only way to do that with a console while it's running is to type commands from game with your god account. For instance /save, /reload config and so on. If you want to, you can always go to data\talkactions\talkactions.xml and check for different commands. Otherwise you need a GUI version, which is much more handy to use, but it takes more memory of your computer after it has been running for a while. :)

The simple answer is, the standard server does not allow you to input commands outside of the game so you will have to do as "8408323" said and use a gm in-game to do such things. The only way u can get around that is to compile the server as GUI instead.
