When buying computer hardware, make sure they will all work together. I find my self seeing many people buy a CPU with socket x that won't fit there socket y motherboard. also RAM
Examples of Moronism:
Buys i7-870 (LGA 1156) with an LGA 1155 motherboard - Durr
Buys DDR2 for DDR3 motherboard
Buys an Intel Processor for an AM3+ Motherboard - HURRdurr <-- Actually seen someone do this

The i7-960 OC to 4.00ghz and i7-920 OC to 4GHz beats the shit out of the 2500K OC to 4.2GHz in Renders and in stock it's the order way around.
