I'm here posting this to let you clear some point that I think is very important, specially for the people that like the automatic hunting and it's tired of the "manual hunting".

The rule number 2.2, clearly states that a player can't use any kind of software that could be able to hunt creatures automatically for him/her, whether the player is idle or not from game.

I've been recieving many private messages and complaints about people that has been banned while they were botting, but not AFK because another GM told people that botting is allowed if you are not AFK.

Ok, to let you understand my point, If I banned you for botting, and you were watching at the screen, sorry but I won't change my mind for that.

I'll keep banning botters, even if they are looking at screen until the owners of the server change the rules, I obey the rules because that's my job, and I guess I'm doing a nice job.

And btw, why would somebody bot if they are looking at the screen.. Lazy people these days... and Using a bot on OT? Nah..

The rule is corrupt, You can't just bann the players you think are botting, what if somebody really isn't botting? And "HE is watching the screen? and hunting manually then the next second "You are banned, reason Botting"

And even if they are botting but at the screen, you'll never know cause they'll answer..

I guess you don't know me yet, or I banned you recently...

But what I do to prove that someone is botting is this:

  • Talk with the player.
  • Teleport the player.
  • Talk again.
  • Ask the player to talk with me before I ban him/her.
  • End of the story.

Am I a bad GM?

I don't think so. I just caught 4 botters that were doing automatic hunt while they were watching the screen. This is not an easy job, but it's something I can handle.

If you don't like the rules, keep complaining.

Because people don't want to waste their time leveling, the most players play ots to war and pk and quest. Not to go pging in dragons 2 days without sleeping, understand my point? And why would they bot infront of their computer? Yeah, they can watch tv or something instead of "pging" while the bot does it for them, okey? =)
 
I think everybody understood my point.

Thanks for taking some time to read this thread, each time someone complain about a banishment for botting while he/she was not AFK, I will open the thread again and let that player read what I wrote.
