Windows Connecting to game world infinitely

So, I am playing a OT and whenever I try to log on it will allow me to my character screen, however when I click "Ok" to long on it will just say "Connecting to game world. Please wait" for hours on end and it has never stopped itself from attempting to connect. Also, on OTservlist.org it says the server is online. Is this a common problem and is there a way to fix it? I am using Asparates IP changer and the OT is version 8.6, downloaded off otservlist.
