Connection failed. (ERROR 1214)

Hello,

I have downloaded the Sabrehaven 7.92 server as it has the RL map. I have the database and server running fine with no errors but when I use the OTCv8 client and login and select my character it says “connection failed. (ERROR1214)”.

I looked in the OTCv8 3.1 rev 232 client terminal and it says the below;

Connecting to: MYIP:7171
Login to 255.255.255.255:7172

I believe the 255.255.255.255:7172 ip is an error but I have no idea how to change this.

I have changed the init.lua file how it should be.

I am a complete beginner so if someone would be so kind to guide me I would be much appreciated, as I have been stuck on this for over 3 weeks.

If you're Hosting on your own machine, look in config.lua in otserv folder for server adress and change to 127.0.0.1

Then in your client, change the IP to conect to 127.0.0.1

Thank you, I changed it to my local ip not the 127 ip but a different one and it works thank you, I will work out how I can get my brother to connect the weekend thank you for your help.
