Solved Connection failed when trying to connect to OT!

Hello, I just created my own OT server and everything seemed fine until I asked a friend to try to connect to it.
And my question then is of course what I'm doing wrong and what I have to do to fix it. He gets to the character list but after that he gets connection failed/connection error. Please help me!

Did you port-foward your ports, set the right IP in the config, and made sure that your firewall is not blocking anything?

If other people can see the characterlist this means the loginport 7171 is open. So check if you opened the gameport 7172 the same way.
Other things that can cause this is a wrong ip in config.lua, so be sure it's this one: What Is My IP Address � | Shows Your IP Address. and other people should login with that too.

It is not recommended to turn of the firewall, just do so firewall don't block the ot in stead.

You should open the ports IN the firewall and keep the firewall on if you ask me.

You should enable ports in your firewall/router:
7171 TCP
7172 TCP
80 TCP
3306 TCP
If you send emails also: 25 TCP, if you got receiving emails: 110 TCP, 143 TCP
you should configure your ip adress in your computer as steady. Go to the options of your connection and write static ip adress.
you should add also your ip (external) to the config.lua
if you have own domain on no-ip, you should also write the ip (domain ip) in config.lua, in .ip adress. and site as your domain.
If you are using dedicated server unblock port 3389 TCP.
