I think he means that his server is in one dedicate and his website in a hosting site what he has to do to connect the server with the hosting site.

Allow access to port 3306, use a password that is as many characters long as possible with mysql, you must create a new user that is allowed to connect on any hose % means any host, and then you have to configure gesior manually because it looks for config file of server it want's you to host on same as server

But in all honesty why pay for both? if the dedicated is decent it's best to just put together anyways, more secure and faster response time for website
