console on PuTTY

Is there a way to put the TFS in background or something so i can use the command line?

as you see after running the file im not able to execute any commands. this might be a stupid question i've just started learning debian

Use a command called "screen"

apt-get install screen

Should be a tutorial on it in Stians compiling guide
