Maybe you can try with source-editing, but if 7.7 has new-notable features that 7.6 didn't have, it will work bad, so I recommend to download a 7.72 distro instead of converting.

i have tried with Avesta065e distro and it says it can't load my datebase or my npc's. do you have any ides why?
