Solved Converting 8.0/8.1 Map to 8.6

I suppose the title explains it.

I was wondering how I might be able to take my 8.0 and 8.1 maps and convert them to 8.6

I'm pretty sure you can do this within the map editor, but it corrupts them when I do it. Am I doing something wrong? is there a smoother way around this?

Just download Remere's Map Editor from here: News - Remere's Map Editor (RME) - An Open Source Map Editor for Open Tibia.

Open your map, then go to Map > Propierties, and change to 8.60.

I think there's a way with switching out the Items.OBT or something after you do it? I remember someone (I think it was Neon) posted a tutorial on how to do it a while back.. I'll try and find it.

Edit:
If you change it within the map editor it'll mess it up, since they use completely different items.obt... Try doing this.. Open a clean, 8.6 map and import your 8.0 map to that one and save it. c:

Surprisingly, Tai, this worked...! ;D Although, it left red squares (non-pz zone?) spots all over the map. Not sure how to get rid of them all without taking all that time... Thanks so much for helping me! ;D Repp++

It's the unnecessary tiles. Go to edit > Clear all unnecessary tiles (or something) they should be gone

Well, the clean up things worked and got rid of them... but it also removed the ground squares under it.... so now my map looks like swiss-cheese... lol

Try CTRL+Z-ing that then mass replacing that tile with another grass tile

They were errored tiles.

Well, it's like that even in houses, and other tiles... how exactly would I mass replace something anyway? Sorry, I'm just not caught up on all this fancy stuff.

See the invalid tiles and replace that itemid with another, i think there's an option under edit or something. c:

Honestly, I'm not seeing that option anywhere... lol, kind of bugs me. Any other options?

It's in RME 2.2, are you using that one?
