Hello, I have three questions that I am hoping to be answered swiftly:

** Is 8MB cache fair, good, or excellent for a CPU?
** Does cache speed up the processor?
** It works like a memory bank, yes? To help performance.

I hope to read some posts soon, thank you!

Regards,
J.Dre.

8MB is excellent for a CPU. (standard in Intel's high-end Core i7 series, both first and second generation)
Does cache speed up the processor? Yes.
It works like a memory bank? umm.. in a way yes it works like memory, but its an type of memory that the cpu can process with much higher speed than your RAM. level2 cpu cache+ was invented because "your ram is too slow ;)"
also there's an wikipedia article about it

Cache speed improve the performance of processor. Its right. Ya afcos 8GB cache is a very good for cpu, its give very fast speed to u.

I was asking per core. That has 10, obviously it needs 30MB cache.

I just recently purchased a new computer - the thread can be closed.
