AAC create an direct download on linux ubuntu 20.04

Hi,
Is it possible to host an direct-download link with a .zip file from the host machine I have?
If so, how would this be done, can't find what I want on google for now..

- Direct download, enters link and automatically downloads it by entering the link

Acc = MyACC

If possible, post up for Znote ACC/Gesior ACC aswell. Or if its the same which I suppose it is. Let's help others with the same issue

Create a folder on your root acc like "downloads/" add .zip in folder... then on your site put a link url like "w.mysite.com/downloads/myfile.zip"

Doesn't seem to work, tried in root/downloads, couldn't access the webpage. error.
tried inside cd aswell, doens't work

It works once it's inside my /var/www/html/downloads and a zip file
But what If I want an unzipped file to be downloaded like that aswell?
