Custom Client Tutorial for 7.4 DX9/OGL?

After an extensive search on OT land i bumped into the Vapus custom Client creator that is not working anymore. Maybe i miss it but anyone knows or have a good tutorial on making a 7.4 client with DX9 and OpenGL support.

Also if someone can explain me how the 7.72 custom clients some servers use for their 7.4 OTs work? For example OriginalTibia - Latest News

Client is 7.72, server is 7.72, they are using 7.4 sprites mimicking 7.4 gameplay. You grab a 7.72 client with 7.4 graphics here theforgottenserver-7.4/server/client at master · babymannen/theforgottenserver-7.4 · GitHub
